01/26/2005: "Dennis Prager to speak at Minnesota Family Council annual banquet"

In one of his newspaper columns back in 2002, national talk show host Dennis Prager, himself a practicing Jew, offered a simple declaration that helps explain his popularity among conservative, Christian Americans. Addressing the liberal assumption that Jews ought to be deeply offended by the theology and doctrine of evangelical Christians, Prager boldly countered that “as a practicing, believing Jew … I am in no way offended, let alone frightened, by evangelical Christians who believe that it is necessary to have faith in Jesus in order to be saved.”

Can somebody explain why a socially conservative organization such as the Minnesota Family Council would choose to publicly honor somebody like Dennis Prager who favors the continued legalization of abortion?
