Priscilla Owen: Incredibly Biased Reporting

The Washington Post has an incredibly biased report on what is happening with the debate on Judicial Nominees.  The bias begins with their headline "Debate of Controversial Judicial Nominee Begins". The problem is, they say nothing in the entire article as to why Priscilla Owen is so "controversial".  What does she really stand for?  What does she believe?

Did you know that she was given the highest rating from the American Bar Association (ABA)?  The ABA is not exactly a right wing organization.

Do you know what the real issue is?  She is a person of faith and thinks there is an authority above man.  Shock!  So the libs have a litmus test.  No people of strong faith allowed to the court.

What is our world coming to?

About waynem

As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work. My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams. My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.

An inaccurate post on your part. To quote from the article:
“Owen is praised as an ideal candidate by conservatives but criticized by liberals as being biased toward business interests and anti-abortion.”

    Eli,
Why is pro-business or pro-life controversial? The original post is correct. If she would have been paid off from some big business or if she has had 12 extra-marital affairs or if she was not able to judge a case based on it merits, then she would be controversial. This is not what we have here.

Why is pro-business or pro-life controversial? When it comes to judges? You are kidding right?

  4. mike says:

Not at all. Wanting to destory business in America by adding all kinds of crazy regulations (read Atlas Shrugged) now that is controversial, or killing human babies that is controversial. Any one in their right mind would see that. The other is not.
Like Michael Savage says, “Liberalism is a mental disorder” you are certianly showing a good example of it here.
    Wake up eli.

Here is what you just wrote — you say “that is controversial” twice, once for each issue. That is what the Washington Post said, isn’t it? Shut up.
