Updates on the Amanda Story

Jeffery King at Three Bad Fingers has an update, commentary and some great links for the Amanda Twellman-Dieppa story.

Is this whole story a hoax?

Is it a story about those mean ole Pharmaceutical companies that only care about profit?

Or is this a chapter out of "Atlas Shrugged" where government has made it so difficult to do business that a company has to either be very careful in business or stop doing business all together?

We will continue to track this story.

About waynem

As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work. My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams. My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.

Trust me, this is no hoax. I know Amanda Twellman-Dieppa personally. This is a true story, an honest website, and an honest plight for her life.

    Great News from saveamanda.com:
    May 6, 2005
The past few days and weeks have been very difficult and challenging for the Twellman and Dieppa families and for Medarex. Mr. Drakeman, the President and CEO of Medarex, and the family worked closely together on some very complex and emotional issues. We are pleased to announce that a resolution has been reached, which meets the needs of the family and the goals of Medarex.
We wish to thank everyone for the overwhelming support and prayers for Amanda. We also wish to extend our gratitude to Medarex, Mr. Drakeman, and so many others that were instrumental in helping to bring this situation to a successful conclusion. More importantly, we give thanks to God.
Please keep Amanda in your prayers as she continues her battle with cancer.
    Forever grateful,
    Tom Twellman
