De-homosexualization of the Catholic Church

It has been know for a long time that many if not most Catholic seminaries were hot beds for homosexual activity (I know not all of them).  When I was at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul MN, we often heard stories of how seminary prefects and other low level instructors were "engaging" the young men in inappropriate behavior.  As I got to know several of the seminarian students, they would tell stories of what would be going on inside the seminary.

I also had an Uncle that was a Catholic Brother at a seminary in Wisconsin.  That school was also embroiled in a large sexual scandal several years back.

I was accosted by a Catholic priest as a young man after graduation from college.

The stories go on and on and on….

That is why this is such great news in this article below.  The Catholic Church is finally going to admit and attempt to fix their homosexual problem.

About waynem

As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work. My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams. My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.

I certainly hope so! Thanks for the link … it was interesting to see a reasonable possible explanation for why Pope John Paul II failed to act on that information. One thing that a lot of people liked about Pope Benedict XVI is that his office was the one that received all the complaints (letters, emails, etc.) from the US about these various problems. So it is hoped that he will now take action.
