01/26/2005: "SOS Save Our Students"

Minnesota Family Institute’s ‘SOS Save Our Students’ program counters gay agenda in schools
by Dave Bohon

Two-Thousand and Four was a busy year for the Minnesota Family Council in its campaign to protect and defend Minnesota’s families. And among the busiest was the staff of “SOS Save Our Students,” an ongoing project of the Minnesota Family Institute (MFI) that trains and encourages parents and other concerned citizens to battle the homosexual agenda in Minnesota’s schools. “This was the most productive year we’ve had since we initiated the program,” said Cindy Bailey, SOS director. “We conducted eight seminars across the state with over 500 attendees. That means 500 concerned adults were educated, encouraged, and sent back to their communities to help protect kids from deceptive pro-homosexual curriculum in the schools. Overall we estimate our SOS seminars impacted about 30 school districts with over 133,000 secondary students.”

It is bad enough that people have to be politically correct, but now, they also have to be religiously correct. The radical right wing in this country, of which this blogger clearly belongs, are out to make sure we ALL have to tow the line they deign as rigtheous. They are throwbacks to pre-Vatican II, and base their politics and religion on the narrowest of principles -- ignorance, predjudice, and self-righteousness. Christ described these people during his lifetime -- he called them Philistines.

How is it that standing up for clearly taught religious principles is somehow "Religiously Incorrect".

If the previous commenter is a Christian it appears he/she has either never read scripture or has a very low view of it.

If the commenter is not Christain the comment shows where a mind goes that is not lead by transcendent truths.

Words have incredible power.
Keep up the good work!

Whether the writer is a Christian, or not a Christian, is not the point (I beleive). Nor is it have anything to do with whether the writer has read the scriptures, or read them "correctly". The issue is why right wing Christians think their way is the only way (to "transcendent truth", whatever that is, and apparently only available to some). And why they think they have the right to judge others, which they do to the extreme. Those without sin may cast the first stone. Christ do not say "only if you are without sin, or also, lets see, if you have the transcendent truth...he said: only if you are without sin"...period.

So, It is your opinion, that we are not to judge anyone or anything?

So If I decide to blow your childs brains out, you will not judge me.

Of course we are called to judge with everything we do all day long.

The concept that we are not to judge is the most rediculous concept I have ever heard.

And in the case of homosexual activists coming into our publicly funded schools to try to indoctrinate our children to see a very damaging lifestyle as safe and healthy and just as normal as any other lifestyle choice is so completely rediculous it is beyound any scope of reason.

You need to do your research about the damaging effects of the homosexual life style. They are so profound and so easy to see that anyone that argues for the lifestyle is not connected to reason at all.

Never said that we are not to judge anyone or anything. We are not to judge based on predjudice, ignorance and self rigtheousness, unless of course you are without sin. I am not arguing for a homosexual lifestyle either, whatever that is. There is such a thing? (I wouldn't know.) Is that kind of like a Commie lifestyle? We have to protect our families from Commies, that's for sure. P.S. produce your proof that a homosexual lifestyle is "very damaging", please.

There are many others, but of course if you dont have a mind open to the truth it wouldn't do any good.

Here are some more great resources...

Yes, I know only conservatives that stand up for truth use "predjudice, ignorance and self rigtheousness"
